to start, here's a song i've been rly obsessed with this week & have sang loudly in my car MULTIPLE times each day!

wah! it's been such a wild week so far. i just got done movin' in with my parents (along with my sweet, tall, way too big for our house fiancée who can flat palm every ceiling) for a bit while we finish renovations on our house (gasp!) that we bought last april. i had been off of work for two weeks prior to this one to prepare, and gurl, was it a lot of work! and of course the temperatures here were the highest in a LONG time. i felt like a slimy, moist (ew) little frog every time i dared step foot outside. and we had to step a lot of feet outside... SIGH! but it went okay - we got it done! we did it! now i'm cramped into my childhood bedroom with the love of my life, a two gamer pc set up, a cozy bed, and a spicy kitty named claude.

work has been pretty chill and we're about to switch from our summer hours over to our regular hours, so my commute home will be a LITTLE more annoying than usual. it's been a little fun having that 20-30 minutes to listen to podcasts, books, and music though! i'm doing a lot to prepare for a big event in september so im sure the decompression time in the car to and from work will do me a lot of good. i'm also forced to wake up earlier, which is ALSO good for me, since for the past few years i've lived close enough to my work to be able to wake up 15 minutes before i need to leave to be there. i wasn't proud of how i took care of myself in our last rental - it felt like a weird limbo house, there was mold on the front door, pretty sure there was mold in the walls, and moisture was just hanging around and making everything musty and mildew-y smelling. i was nose blind as FRICK!

it's been actually surprisingly nice living with my parents again even with an extra human and kitty within the house. it's going way better than i ever expected! each evening rick and i play a little bit of 7 days to die, smoke a little on the back porch, and eat some yummy dinner. i'm lucky to be where i am and i'm so thankful to be surrounded by the people around me!

i started my animal crossing new leaf town again and i think i'm going to try to take studying more seriously again! i lack a lot of vocab in japanese (i graduated with a degree in japanese eduation, got my license to teach, and then saw the unfortunate route this country keeps taking education in... so i didnt go into education at all!). i feel i've lost a lot of my ability and need to gain it back, so i'm going to try some japanese gaming, reading, and have been watching some fun vlogs from kson's channel on youtube! her and guu-chan are so cute and i love to watch their little antics!!

ok, i want to close this out! im really looking forward to next weekend as i'll be going to my besties new HOME they bought!!! i'm so so excited to see where life takes them and i'm so grateful they're both having me along for the ride that is life. it's gonna be the best time ever and i'm just so pumped to share this joy with them!!! im so fricken PROUD of my friends!!!

thank you for reading!!! have a great week and be strong, my friends!!
